I read novels written for all ages including middle school, YA, and up. I read all genres except horror and erotica. I have reviewed on Amazon for a number of years and now post my book reviews to this blog as well, which I started doing relatively recently.
I try to review all books in a timely manner and do my best to choose books that are a good fit, as I’d prefer not to post a negative review for a book that is simply not my cup of tea.
I am not affiliated with Amazon in any way, shape, or form, except as the average paying customer. To help prevent any confusion, I do not provide links to other websites for books that I review. You can search by title and author on your favorite retail site if you wish to purchase a book that I have reviewed.
I do not write incentivized reviews or receive any remuneration of any sort, aside from electronic Advance Reader Copies (ARCs) from NetGalley and a few of my favorite authors, which is the publishing industry norm and in accordance Amazon guidelines.
Sometime during the last several months, I pretty much stopped writing up books that I decide are mediocre or dislike, unless I’m posting somewhere else already due to an obligation or what-have-you, such as ARCs from NetGalley. For the most part, I’m going to DNF such books. I just don’t want to waste my time reading and writing about dreck or mediocrity. I’d rather spend my time writing about books I’m passionate about and enjoy. If that makes my blog reviews lean toward better books, that’s all to the good as far as I’m concerned.
